KontoLedger Privacy Policy
KontoLedger works entirely on your phone. Reading messages, working out transactions and saving them all happen on this device.
1. What KontoLedger reads
With your permission, KontoLedger reads SMS messages from the banks you choose, to find transactions such as payments, deposits, transfers and card spending. Messages from other senders, and personal chats, are ignored. SMS permission is used strictly to detect transactions.
2. No connection to your bank
KontoLedger never connects to your bank or to any server. It does not sync, upload or send analytics about your data.

3. Where your data is stored
All financial records are stored in the app's private storage on this device and are not encrypted separately by the app. They are protected by your device's own security and, if you enable it, the app's biometric lock.
4. Sharing
KontoLedger does not share your data with anyone: no third parties, no advertisers and no analytics services. Statements you export (PDF or spreadsheet) are created on your phone and protected by a password you choose; if you share one, it goes through your phone's own share sheet to the app you pick.
5. Sensors
The optional tilt-to-hide feature reads only the phone's motion sensor, while the app is open, to hide amounts. The camera is never used.
6. Your control
You can delete transactions, clear the app's data from Android settings, or uninstall the app at any time, which removes everything it stored.
7. Children
KontoLedger is a general finance tool and is not directed at children.
8. Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects how your data is handled, the app will ask you to review it.
